The following crops are ready to harvest [as at 17 May 2026]
You are welcome to help yourself to a moderate amount - unless somebody has beaten you to it of course!
THIS IS AN ORGANIC BED AND NO PESTICIDES, CHEMICALS. OR FERTILISERS ARE USED, HOWEVER WE WOULD RECOMMEND THAT ALL PRODUCE IS THOROUGHLY WASHED BEFORE USE

-
Rhubarb - starting to grow strongly. Just grasp, twist & pull some of the thicker stems
-
Culinary Herds - Sage, Lemon Balm, Marjoram, Oregano, Chives, .Snip off as wanted from the plants around the edge of the plot which have not been allowed to flower, thus promoting a better flavour. Leave the ones nearer the centre for the bees...

Alpine strawberries should be starting to form and ripen any time now.
-
The small onions in the raised bed - use them as Spring Onions, but leave the main crop in the main bed to mature until late summer.
Onions and garlic seem to be coming along nicely, but allow them to get much larger. When they are ready we will pull them up and leave them on their sides to dry out a little. Please feel free to take some then.
